Queensland Fruit Fly has arrived in Melbourne and we've had clients reporting losing whole harvests to this destructive pest. Our friends at Biotrap Australia know all about fruit fly and how Melbourne fruit tree guardians need to play their part in protecting the Victorian food bowl.

Traps alone will not protect your trees, but they do play a critical role in an integrated pest management approach:

1. detect fruit fly early by installing a male fruit fly lure trap
2. if you see boy flies in your trap: net net net your trees!
3. hang some female fruit fly attractant traps as an extra defence.

Male lures last 6 months and we recommend you replace your sticky traps and top up the female attractant every 3 months. Refill products for this are available!
